The sixth overall pick out of Louisville, Mikel Brown Jr. needed less than two minutes on the floor to get on the board. With Brooklyn trailing Charlotte 23-15 late in the first quarter at Barclays Center, the rookie guard takes a pass from new teammate Julius Randle, finishes through contact from four feet and converts the free throw for his first career basket. Brown finished his NBA debut with 6 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists in 19 minutes as the Nets fell to the Hornets 110-103 on October 21, 2026.
