O.G. Anunoby’s quest to lead the NBA in steals got off to a fast start. The Toronto Raptors forward was relentless on the defensive end as he came up with a swipe of an overmatched De’Andre Hunter before again getting the best of Hunter by finishing the sequence with a transition layup. Anunoby posted 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, six steals and two blocks in Toronto’s 139-109 win over the Atlanta Hawks on October 31, 2022. The six thefts were tied for second-most in a game during the 2022-23 season, and Anunoby led the league with 128 steals and an average of 1.9 per game.
