Memphis guard Scotty Pippen Jr. has carved out his niche as a disruptive defensive presence who can create chaos in transition, but on this night he took it up a notch. Scotty tormented Malik Monk this night, stealing the ball from him on not one, not two, but three consecutive plays. He then added another steal on a fourth consecutive play for good measure. After this steal, the athletic point guard saves the loose ball and finds streaking teammate Rayan Rupert with a perfect south paw bounce pass. Rupert converts the easy finish at the rim as the Grizzlies cut into Sacramento's early lead. Pippen Jr. tallied six points, eight assists and five steals in the competitive contest.
