Cris Carter

Long before a Hall of Fame-bound receiver’s career takes shape, one can often point to a sequence that spotlights their potential; for then-Eagle Cris Carter, such a moment arrived on Nov. 23, 1989. No. 2 all-time in receiving scores by the end of his illustrious career, Carter got the ball rolling against Dallas, starting with an acrobatic, heavy-traffic snag on a six-yarder. The highlight reel-worthy grabs were only just beginning, as Carter paired it alongside a just-as-must-see 11-yard snag — with one hand, no less — on an 18-yard touchdown. Dominant on both sides of the ball, Philadelphia enjoyed a 27-0 over the Cowboys, and Carter was undeniable throughout, as he recorded three receptions, 53 yards, and two endzone finds.
