With a seventh consecutive victory — and their postseason hopes — hinging on a successful result on Dec. 21, 2025, C.J. Stroud made certain the Texans’ offense remained organized and efficient when it truly mattered. In need of a knockout blow with the feisty Raiders playing them closely, Stroud helped Houston deliver during a late-game 1st & Goal, turning a perfectly-designed play into a lead-extending one-yard score. Clutch plays of that sort helped Stroud secure both a 23-21 win over Las Vegas, and ultimately, a 10-5 record that afforded the inside track for an AFC Wild Card spot. Stroud closed with 187 yards (on 23-of-35 passing) and one touchdown throw.
