Overcoming the loss of a running back who finished with the NFL’s 20th-most first downs wasn’t going to be easy, but in stepping into Seattle’s “RB2” role, George Holani arrived to the NFC Championship Game with plenty of ideas. As the Seahawks brainstormed through ways to get into scoring position just before halftime, the second-year runner made a highlight contribution, flaring out of the backfield before springing himself free for an elusive 13-yard catch-and-run. Holani’s play — and his six-touch, 31-yard outing — became one of the many footnotes responsible for the Super Bowl-clinching 31-27 win over the Los Angeles Rams on Jan. 25, 2026.
